Who's behind Nexus Commercial Management?

I'm Graham Beal — director of Nexus Commercial Management, and the person who built every tool on this store.

I've spent thirty years in senior commercial leadership across UK construction and infrastructure.

I've worked across pretty much all sectors — Construction (main contractor and subcontractor), Energy from Waste, Nuclear, Rail, Utilities. I've seen it all.

I've worked on site in amongst the muck and bullets, dealing with day-to-day problems. I've sat in the Boardroom, building strategies and shaping futures. Both rooms taught me something the other couldn't.

I started Nexus to do what I'm best at — operating as a plug-in commercial function for specialist contractors who are too big to be informal but too small to justify a Commercial Director on the headcount.

Most of my work is embedded, monthly-fee advisory for £5-50m specialist contractors. Some of it is interim Commercial Director work for businesses in transition. None of it is templates as a business.

The store exists because the tools I use in client work — the pricing systems, the rate-card calculators, the tender comparisons, the CVR and reporting packs — are useful to a wider audience than I can personally serve. So I've packaged the structural thinking and put it where any specialist contractor commercial team can use it, with or without engaging me directly.
